A finished GAME. PLAYABLE GAME. I DIDN'T RECEIVE A PLAYABLE GAME BY ANY REASONABLE DEFINITION OF "PLAYABLE"! I RECEIVED ALPHA QUALITY UNFINISHED PIECE OF SHIT THAT HAS SO SEVERE USABILITY PROBLEMS IT'S DEAD OBVIOUS NOBODY HAS DONE ANY TESTING ON THE TUTORIAL PORTION WHATSOEVER. I had no idea I was supposed to watch hours of youtube videos to learn the BASICS, like how to properly issue commands instead of tediously right clicking everything one at a time. I was SCAMMED into believing it was a finished game. There's deceptive language on the store page, "Towns is continually being developed and updated to bring you the best experience possible!". HOWEVER, so far NO UPDATES in over a month and THE GAME EXPERIENCE IS SHIT. That kind of sentence isn't there to inform players about the state of the game, it's there to shup up people who complain they weren't told. The developers are disregarding the customer opinion, they've posted on the forums saying THEY think the game is enjoyable and playable. IT IS NOT. And by not addressing any of the issues raised by players, they're showing they don't care the slightest bit since they already got my money. It doesn't matter to them if I enjoy the game or not. THE STORE PAGE IS MISREPRESENTING THE GAME. Those screenshots ARE NOT SCREENSHOTS from the game. They have been manipulated, you can't see zoomed out things in-game. Somebody on the forums even said one of the screenshots requires modding the game and manipulating the screenshot further. THIS IS A SCAM. They don't include a mention about beta or unfinished status on the page because THEY WANT MONEY FROM PEOPLE WHO WOULD NOT BUY THE GAME IF THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE GETTING!!!! I'M BEING DEFRAUDED FOR FUCKS SAKE. YOU NEED TO TAKE DOWN THE GAME FROM STEAM -ASAP- AND GIVE PEOPLE THEIR MONEY BACK. THE GAME IS A GODDAMN ALPHA QUALITY SHIT THAT IS NO WAY READY FOR RELEASE. The description on the store page MUST change and anyone who had paid so far must be at least given a chance to get their money back. HELL, I even thought the Greenlight badge was some sort of badge of excellence. Towns was in "featured OS X games" list and together with that badge I thought it meant it was awesome and loved by the community. I HAD NO IDEA the badge only applied to shit that Steam hadn't approved themselves, or that the game wouldn't even have been available for sale without it. I thought Steam had first chosen to sell it and then the players had somehow voted it to make it truly stand out. I thought I was going to get an EXCELLENT game, that's the impression the store page gave me. I WOULD NOT HAVE PAID HAD I KNOWN THE TRUTH. PS. CCing this shit to gaben because it seems the support department is unwilling to do anything at all. Sorry Gabe, assuming I even get past your spam filter, I don't know what else to do at this point anymore! I'm running out of options, this is just so damn wrong :( -- Matti Nikki > ========= Please enter your reply ABOVE this line ========= > > Hello, > > A staff member has replied to your question: > > Hello Matti, > > Per the subscriber agreement delivery is considered to be at the time > the game is made available in your library. > > You have downloaded and installed the game, therefore we have delivered the game. > > > Further support for this title is handled by a third party support department - > please follow the instructions below to contact the support provider to troubleshoot this issue: > > Towns Support > http://www.townsgame.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=20&sid=abfbe787b1e75f40a4c3f2d5b64d5a33 > > > > Anytime you wish you can view your question online: > https://support.steampowered.com/view.php?ticketref=4581-UOPF-6353 > > > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > This message was sent by the Steam Support helpdesk. > > Have a question we can help you with?
